so i'm making an extra post because im watching comedy central and have decided to plug a comedian because i've been, you know, laughing. this will be following my endorsement of Dat Phan, who also rules. right now, though, they have Jackie Kashian on. at least the last 20 minutes.
To paraphase a line taking about video games... "I have to shoot ****. I think it best this occur fictionally." Good stuff, check out her comedy if the chance arises.

so....the question comes up, why haven't i posted anything for a while? well, the answer to this is simple....nothing happened, and then a bunch of stuff did, and then i was told i need to update, and so my natural reaction is to do the exact opposite. because i don't do what i'm told. this is why long ago i told my parents that if they started lecturing me on drugs, i could guarantee i'd start.
so lets see whats happened.....i'm up to double stone hammers on gunbound before it stopped working, so thats cool. and of course there is the humour of me being a dragon and a girl on the other team refusing to shoot me because it looked cute. that was very interesting and unexpected and cool, cuz it let me waste her team better. though not her.
seeing fahrenheit 9/11 friday made for a very unique experience, i thought. the audiance was very liberal, to the point it was a tad uncomfortable to be there. as for the movie itself...well, there definitly are issues with context and all, and its definitly far more biased than a documentary should be, but still, i think its really good, and everyone should watch it. just, after, everyone should check out a site presenting a different opinion, like Michael Moore Hates America. this'll just present a different opinion to balance out the bias in 9/11. The thing that worries me is how many people will just accept his movie as the truth, and I think theres a lot of those out there.
I'm just proud to have been the only person that clapped at one of the times where Moore showed how ineffective and useless the democratic party was because they didn't oppose or question Bush at the time.
Of course, the interesting stuff was yet to come. On the way back from Glendale, the tread seperated on one of my tires. So, with John, Chris, and Andrew in the chupathingie, I had to pull over quickly right around Lyons and call AAA. When the guy got there, he said that my spare was too low on air, so instead of fixing anything, he just towed me to COC. Of course, I also found out during this that my battery had died. That wasn't terribly cool to find out. So the jeep spent the night at COC in the middle of the parking lot after we moved it from where the tow truck driver left it, which just happened to be a tow-away zone.
So, the next day my dad and i planned to go back and get air in the spare, then change it. Of course, in checking the tire, we found a nail. Pulling it out led to air escaping. So ended up taking it to a place on San Fernando to get the tire repaired, then going back and changing the chupathingie, then going back to that place to get a used tire that'd be in better shape than the spare. Got all this taken care of and after many hours, finally got home.
I still need a new battery soon, as that could die again, and I'll need new tires soon as well. But the important thing is that Chris didn't actually decide to play Frogger on the I5.
As of....a day or two ago, I've got a DeviantART account, having had Bryan sign me up for one and transfer the account to me. So I've got most of the general settings taken care of, now I just have to get to work on uploading stuff. It'll get done, just lazy so far. Its amazing how lazy i've been, yet I'm not doing the normal lazy person's thing of sleeping. Example, i've been up seince 8:30. The lazy person would still be in bed till....12 or so, but i'm not. so ha.
oh, and i've finally gotten "Bowling for Columbine" which I"m surprised has taken me this long. I think I see now why that didn't seem as bad, whereas his book "Stupid White Men" did. In Bowling, he attacks the Democrats a lot as well, so its not just bashing the Republicans. Thats more in line with me...bash them out. All of them.
I think tonight is the whole "Spiderman 2" thing. I keep going back on forth on going. On one hand, its late, on the other hand, a bunch of people are going, and on a third hand, I couldn't care less about Spiderman 2. I mean, I liked the first one, but I'm not a sequels person.
Speaking of sequels, they're making a sequel to "Ocean's Eleven" called "Ocean's Twelve". What the heck is with that? I"m half expecting them to do prequels after this, for Ocean's One through Ten.
Currently I'm lucky on having found a spot to park around the block. The whole neighborhood is having the roads redone, and as a consequence of this, half the streets are tow-away zones today. So i had to find a spot last night to park the chupathingie and leave it there to make sure it had a spot. Tomorrow will be more tricky, as even more streets are tow-away zones tomorrow.
Anyone that knows which streets round here aren't for tomorrow, let me know.
oh, and places that don't hire me are bad.

over the weekend one big thing has happened. this is, of course, that bryan is fully to blame for getting me hooked on gunbound. i've been playing it way too much sense then. but since it rules, i'm still going to tell you that its like worms, but online. and that you can get it, for free, at www.gunbound.net. and that i'm lowbacca1977 in the game.
to add a fun story...anytime you kill two people during your turn, it is announced into all the games. when i got a double kill last night, it was the last kill of the game. right after i had a couple buddy requests from people i'd never played with...they just saw that i had a double kill. i found it humourous. and according to bryan, it seems i play unconventionally. oh well. heh.
last friday was filled with the fun of getting registered for comic-con....no one really remembered. so bryan and chris had to come over and fill out paperwork. good job guys. it'll be interesting when that rolls around in the end of july to see how things go with it. don't know how much of it i'll be there fore....maybe only a day or two. its really not my thing...what with all the people and the like, but we'll see. that and i'm cheap.
this friday though is holding interesting promise. really looking forward to seeing farehnheit 9/11. and its been a while since theres been anything that i'd count as a group movie. it should be really fun. especially since theres going to be a fair bit of the left and of the right going. would've been fun to snag a couple more liberals...but what you going to do? also should be interesting to hang out with karl to some extent. you know, in a public place where there are laws preventing him from doing most things. and its almost a road trip. stupid conservative valley not showing it. or actually, i don't think edwards cinemas are carrying it all, which also would explain it. either way, look for a review type thing of that either friday night or over the weekend. heh, i say look like people'll check back.
finally, because i decided to do it today...a pic taken of all the star wars cups i have. bit by bit, i'll get pics of my entire star wars collection up here, but this is the start. dude, the boba fett mug is the coolest ever.
the back are the cups from 7-11 after episode 1 and to the right of that is one of the cup toppers from...i don't know where since i believe it came my way from the strausses. the right group of cups are from when return of the jedi came out...they came with pepperbridge farms cookiees, and i got them off ebay, like i did the small star tours mug, and all the mugs that are ceramic. the two taller star tours glasses were found by kristal, and the plastic cups were found at party stores and stuff by my mom

well...lets see, up to thursday already. well, i've really not done anything this week...but at least i have two good reasons. number one, i'm battling off a cold, and number two, knights of the old republic. thankfully i beat that thing now so i can have some element of my life back. eh, i'll probably waste it anyways.
still though, the game was awesome...and to quote a bit of the dialogue...
"I did it all for the wookiees."
"The wookiees?"
"The wookiees."
my website should be getting some essays in the "the world through my eyes" section by the weekend also, depending on when i get it all written by.
so i'm gonna wrap it up with a recommendation...if you've nothing productive to do, play kotor. it rules.

well, here we are just after saturday and time for a recap.
i've spent time the past three evenings or afternoons helping jennie move. for some reason i continued to do so even after the disasterous events that unfolded on thursday.
now, they always tell you to drink water and all, and that you need water to live. of course, i'm very, very, very lazy when i have the option. so all thursday i spent within 10 feet of the fridge and a water cooler, and i never had anything to drink. so that evening i go to help jennie move and so i'm carrying boxes from her appartment down to the parking lot a flight of stairs below and heading back up. after somewhere around third or fourth box, everythin suddenly sorta spins and i can't hear. then i collapsed. go me. this happened twice more before i could get back up to her appartment. it was very very unfun. so i drank like 3 glasses of water and then felt coherent enough to drive from her appartment to her mom's house. nevertheless it wasn't fun. the lesson here? drink water. or else bad trips start to happen. nothing like hearing wailing screams going around you in circles and stuff like that.
no one has hired me yet. which really is to be expected as i'm not really what one would consider 'hirable'. still though, i need money. i've got a lifestyle to maintain. and gas costs roughly an arm, three legs, and a spleen. well, the spleen is just for premium...but thats still a lot.
website wise, i think i've mentioned that i've gotten the ratings and stuff done for the webcomics...if i haven't, then i've gotten the ratings and stuff done for the webcomics. i'm beginning on the world through my eyes bit, and also working on a photo gallery. i wanted to use deviantart for that, but deviantart has banned my ip address and so i can't contact them to figure out why. i think i need bryan's help here, but bryan has become noticibly difficult to reach.
today was tom's birthday. for those of you that don't know who tom is, he's my younger brother, by two years. for those of you who do know who tom is, hes an alien from a planet that shares earths orbit and is perpetually on the far side of the sun from the earth, thereby escaping detection. either way, hes now...17. so luckily he has yet to overtake me agewise. but one never knows what next year may bring.
kotor is something i'm getting closer to beating, at which point my life goes back to being empty for great periods of time until i figure out a way to fill in that time. i figure crystal meth will do that job nicely. cuz, i mean, i get just as addicted to video games as i could to drugs. at least thats the media claim. and the violence should be the same as a junkie and a gamer too.

well, another few days go by, and i figure i'll comment in here again. Still not doing much, still not hired. I've finished up the webcomics page over at my site though, so i recommend that.
most of my time is either on aim or playing KotOR, which i'm doing alright with...got me a wookiee life debt and have been flying around the galaxy, so its all good. time consuming though, but hey, what isn't?
Last night saw Harry Potter, which was really good. Also there were Andrew, Jessica, Jennie, and Bryan. Overall just good movie, pretty good at staying pretty much tied to the book. Or at least, the best they can do, all things considered. Things like this it is important to remember that theres a time constraint, but so given that I thought it was a really good movie. After that was dinner at In'n'Out where Jessica for the first time heard the whole traumatic story of Karl and the thong. Andrew also announced his disappointment he didn't get to see it. Andrew you freak.

so lets see, i'm way overdue for a post since its been a week since i've updated.
in my defence though, its not like i've 'done' anything.
lets see....notable points....i've now gotten the rest of my grades, so I had A-'s in my lectures, and my labs and independant study i had A's. meaning straight A's for the year. the real upside of this is, i've proved my mom wrong. she's been waiting for me to fail based on my decisions, and i proved her wrong. proved that i have an idea of what i'm doing with my own life. its a good feeling to prove her wrong after years and years. that and tom's term paper which also had the same effect.
i've gotten to work on the job thing....last week applied online to best buy, and today i turned in applications at barnes and noble, b dalton, and borders. whats with book stores starting with b?
anyways, barnes and noble is only one that seems to be currently hiring, but hopfully i can get a job, because if i don't have a job, i'm not doing anything that costs me money and will instead sit inside my house all summer and....do something.
bryan has yet to finish the photoshopping, and for that i wish his timely demise.
on the sw front....i've been playing a whole lot of knights of the old republic...ain't my sorta thing, but at least things die with a fair frequency...so it'll do. and i sorted through endor and dagobah star wars cards. i added a good 30 or 40 to the binders, and when i counted them added about 1300 to my grand total, i think. and to think i've got 15 more boxes or so to go through. woot!
tom's trying to clean his room....and by this, i mean hes been sitting around watching tv and talking on aim while my mom cleans his room. there are distinct issues with the balance of power in this house. she seriously does all his work for him. the consequence? i can't use one comp and have the other play dvds, and this is a crime. and on that note, alst weekend i bought family guy seasons one and two and all of dilbert on dvd, as well as a cd by the cure. it has all made for good stuff so go it.
i'll probably think of additional stuff to put in here later, but its hard to catch up on a whole week that fast...so i'll just say check my website cuz thats probably newish.
